Creative Method Technologies has designed a patent pending rod rotation sensor kit for the oil and gas industry. The rod rotation sensor kit functions as an early warning system to prevent costly down time situations in the field. The kit communicates through a two piece system, one is the sensing or transmitting unit and the base is the receiving unit. The technology is able to determine if the rod string on an oil well is rotating properly and that the information is wirelessly transmitted to the base unit. During a registered fault, the base unit will set an alarm into the companies SCADA system to alert the operator.
