Global Mastics, Inc. was incorporated in 2007 as a subsidiary of Sierra Process Systems, Inc. Both companies are headquartered in Bakersfield, California. Global Mastics, Inc. was formed to exploit the technology invented under U.S. Patent Number 7,025,822 Asphalt Mastic Utilizing Petroleum Refinery Waste Solids, and to exploit other related new technologies developed and/or invented since that patent was issued April 11, 2006. Most of the activity of the company to date has been Research and Development carried out at the companies laboratories by Dr. Partanen in Bakersfield, California.
